105 Cadzow street is now open!

Due to the continued expansion of the firm and lack of space in Church Street, NJS decided to search for bigger premises within the exciting, commercial hub of Hamilton where we have been located for over 30 years.

After a lengthy search we bought an imposing 150 year old listed building opposite the Town Hall on Cadzow Street, May 2008.

This former bank was in need of extreme TLC and a massive refurbishment took place as the photos will demonstrate. Negotiations had to be undertaken with both the Planning Department and Historic Scotland to allow a sympathetic refurbishment to take place, while retaining its original character.

Over the course of 15 months, everything from the floorboards to the roof had to be ripped out. Rooms were opened up and enlarged to bring Nicholas J Scullion & Co into the 21st century, brand new plumbing and electrics were installed and great care was taken to preserve the historic cornicing, fireplaces, vaults and paintings whilst juxtaposing them against vibrant paint, glass, carpets and modern art.

The building is truly magnificent and we are extremely happy with the results.

The premises were officially opened on November 12th 2009 by Billy McNeill MBE.
